Now that its getting real close to December, holiday events are starting to pop up all over the place. Here is a few for this weekend. Saturday there will be a pond lighting at North Florida Regional in Gainesville starting at 5pm. Also in Gainesville, the Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration at the Thomas Center will be Saturday 6pm. Suwannee county’s Christmas on the Square Festival started yesterday and ends Saturday night.

In much less nice news, this year’s hepatitis A infections in Florida have reached about 390 cases, which is about triple the average over the past 5 years. It is usually spread by accidentally eating infected feces, and the disease goes after your liver. It isn’t permanent, but it can be nasty

A 12-year-old in Polk County is facing 7 felony charges for sharing THC laced gummies with some classmates. The six kids ate a total of ten adult doses between them, and 5 of the kids went to the hospital for dizziness and nausea.
