A bill allowing for the arming of teachers in Florida went to the governor’s desk on Wednesday. As of now, the guardian program only allows for school staff to be armed. The bill would make it so that employees of the school that only teach can be armed as well.
The governor recently signed a bill that would make hurting a police, fire, or search and rescue animal a second degree felony instead of a third. It bumps up the penalty for the crime to a max of 15 years. The law goes into effect October 1st.
Lastly, the governor can sign a bill guaranteeing you the right to grow fruits and veggies in your front yard. It would protect you from local governments saying you can’t.
