Broken Halos

March 7th

An interesting story from way up north. Details on the story are not super consistent that I've found, so this is the most universal summary. A pair from Wisconsin was charged with breaking a measles quarantine. The husband was the one under quarantine, and its not clear if he actually caught the disease. He reportedly got antsy being cooped up in his house, his wife smuggled him out, and was caught going to the gym by an off duty cop that recognized him. His family exempt from the quarantine and was allowed to come and go because they were vaccinated. Strangely, he was charged 10 months after the alleged incident which happened back in May of last year. His quarantine was lifted a few days after he went to the gym

Alas, only one Blockbuster store is left on the planet. The store in Australia shut its doors, leaving the one in Oregon to stand on its own.

Alex Trebek, the longtime host of “Jeopardy” announced yesterday that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He is 78 years old, and in his announcement he said he would fight the disease and asked that people keep the faith. He also jokingly, or half jokingly, said he had to fight because his contract says he has to host Jeopardy for 3 more years.
