Marion's school district is working on taking out a loan to buy 100 new buses. The district has only averaged 11 new buses a year over the last 8 years, which is less than half the number they were getting from 2001 to 2008. They say that while this would make up for some of the lost ground, overall they need to start purchasing somewhere between 15 and 20 buses a year to avoid falling behind.
